FESTIVAL LIVE MUSIC
SATURDAY 5TH JULY…
Live music from midday to 11pm
THE ENGINE HOUSE
The Engine House formed in late 2011 by bassist and singer songwriter Donald Buick. Along with sister Norma Hill, Donald has gathered together a group of like-minded musicians with the simple aim of enjoying what they play.
The current line up consists of Nicola Briggs (lead vocals), John Nixon (lead guitar), Norma Hill (acoustic guitar and vocals), James Ogilvy (drums) and Donald Buick (bass guitar and vocals).
The music is a mixture of original songs, written by bassist Donald Buick and lead singer Nicola Briggs, and a wide variety of pop and rock covers covering many decades from the 1960’s to present day. We like to focus particular attention on vocal harmonies, adding our own touch to well-known songs.
Visit The Engine House on Facebook.
STEVE MORRISON
We are thrilled to welcome blues powerhouse Steve Morrison back to the Festival. Steve's extraordinary guitar playing has taken him to festivals and venues across the country and Europe-wide. His ability to hold the bass-line and chords, while adding melody lines that sing, makes his guitar playing unique. His repertoire includes many original songs full of wit and social commentary, and the lyrics are delivered with his warm, passionate voice that combines with the guitar to give a powerful performance. A veritable one-man band!

JUDY BARKER & SALLY THOMAS
Judy Barker and Sally Thomas perform traditional and contemporary folk music and songs on Scottish smallpipes and English concertina. Their playing explores how these two very different instruments can complement and support each other, and Judy’s vocals, whilst also maintaining the integrity and essence of traditional music.
Drawing on a wide range of sources from across the UK, their focus is on finding songs and tunes which show these two instruments at their best, both individually and together.

JON PALMER & WENDY ROSS
Jon Palmer and Wendy Ross are both members of the award winning Jon Palmer Acoustic Band and their duo format is, in many ways, simply a reduced version of the band. One third of the size in fact, but with the same level of energy, enthusiasm, and commitment.
Featuring Jon on vocals and guitars, Wendy Ross on violin and vocals, you can expect plenty of songs from the band’s latest critically acclaimed album, Vacca Wall, a few new songs, and lots of the old bangers.
Jon is a former winner of the Grolsch UK Songwriter Of The Year Award, and Wendy is a former member of folk/rock legends Magna Carta.
Visit the Jon Palmer Acoustic Band on their website and Facebook.
KELSO COBBLES CREW
Hugely popular at our previous Festivals. Rousing songs and stirring choruses all delivered in a relaxed and good-humoured style.
